I know I love playing this game just for fun. I've spent quite a lot of time (and money) on it. Recently I haven't been able to play very often because there isn't internet where I am as I live on a ship. My idea, as odd as it may be, is to make the game able to be played offline somehow. It would be a custom game vs bots of course and there would be no real progression to IP, RP, EXP or Champion levels. I want to know anyone else's inputs on this idea.

The reason why an offline mode will never and should never exist is that:

Right now, we play on server, meaning we just need the client and some extra-files(its more complicated but whatever) to make the game work. Making an offline mode mean you have to take everything the server does for you (map, bush, etc) so the whole game would be on your computer. A good example of that is minecraft. It's so easy to mod. But here's the big problem, if you have all the file the game need to work, it also means the hacking accessibility is really high.

In short: Offline mode= all the files on your computer = hack = Riot does not want that and you nether do you = no offline mode

This has been suggested over and over again (hey! I did too!) but I've never actually seen a legit answer as to "why not?". This would be a really nice feature which wouldn't be hard to implement at all. The only problem I do see here is the login and verification as to which champions you can and cannot pick, this would of course be solved if they were to enable all champions to be playable in here, but I doubt they'd do that.

Anyway, some sort of offline play would be really nice. At least, I'd like to be clarified to the reasons why this can't be a thing.

On one of my deployments out at sea, we played WoW on the ship using a private server called "Mangos". I'm surprised there isn't a community created server like that for LoL.
