Idea for Implementing an Honor + Comment System

Hi! I've come up with a cool idea on how to get players out of tilt or just have them feel really good about themselves after games.

So you know how RIOT implemented a report system where you can report a person and write a short little entry about how lame they were? Let's have it work for honors too. Let's have a system where players can honor other players and write good stuff about them like how they were friendly or helpful or just really really on point that game. Then after the game, players who received comments can read them and save (or delete) them in their summoner profile so that after a rough string of games they can look back and say "Damn, I'm a pretty good player after all."

I LOVE THIS IDEA. i honor people all the time. if we were made a good teamwork, if they carried hard, or if they were just funny/nice. it would be nice to add a little message rather than just the +1 teamwork or whatever. They get the idea, but a message would be more personal and probably do more to make people feel good about themselves.

i do worry about the hate messages, where people can continue to harass even after the lobby is over. But that shouldn't stop the idea. Why not filter messages containing certain "key" words which can then be looked at by a person. Hate mail is harshly punished.

Idk, that seems like it might take a lot of resources. still id love to see this. i would hate to see hateful people prevent such an awesome idea

That's a sweet idea. The community could use some positivity for a change.

I like the idea, but I think some sort of screening should be included so people don't just use honor to sent hate messages. Maybe we could have something kind of like the tribunal, where honors are collected and reviewed by the tribunal members. Then the tribunal either sends a batch of approved messages, or edits them into a couple of really positive messages.

Thoughts?

I like the idea, but the idea of hate mail concerns me. I think a tribunal based system would be ideal all in all.

If players did get into being on that kind of positivity tribunal, though, I think it could be really great. Not only would we have people spreading team spirit with honors, but the overall community could see it happening and be a part of it
