Vel'koz qestionable practices

My question is, why Vel'koz? I've never had any trouble with him in this mode. But then again i've never seen anyone pick him. If he was truly OP, I would see a higher pick rate, or him banned often atleast.

Or is it some major game breaking bug in the mode?
