about warring kingdoms tryndamere.....

So i think we all know that Warring Kingdoms Tryndamere is based off of the Guan Yu character from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms story, and honestly i would like to know why he was chosen. I don't think Tryndamere fits the description of Guan Yu, and Guan Yu also uses a Guandao, not a broadsword-esque weapon. If it were me, I would base a skin for Tryndamere off of the character of Xiahou Dun. His personality fits Tryndamere perfectly. This is just my opinion, but does anyone else think this Warring Kingdoms skin for Tryndamere is awkward and/or lacking? It could be so much more fitting to the character.
