Toxic Community

Is it just me or are there a lot more toxic players now a days than there used to be? Every game if someone screws up a play they get punished by at least 1 player and sometimes even the whole team. People make mistakes and the toxic and trolling players are ruining the game for me and likely for other people as well. 'Uninstall', 'Refund skin', 'u suck', are just a few of the things people are saying in game and after the game in the chat lobby. There was 1 game where everyone reported this guy for saying all the above after trolling the entire game and feeding and he was on my team the next game i played, no ban at all. Please riot look at these games and take bans seriously. I love this game and have put a lot of time (not to mention $$) into it and the community itself is ruining it for me.

TLDR: The worst thing we can do when we see toxic behavior is be toxic in return.

I think for every one game I play with a toxic person, I have one to two without. What I've noticed more of is a lot of people being toxic because they think they know how to play the game better than someone else, or their constructive criticism will come over as being too harsh or flaming. Or in other cases they get mad for legitimate reasons, and forget to take a deep breath or realize that the person trolling probably doesn't care that you are mad, and is probably getting more entertainment out of you raging than they are playing the game. There are also a lot of players that when they go on tilt, don't want to look for mistakes they made, and just want to blame others, thus becoming toxic. There are also some flaws in the detection of toxic behavior outside of chat logs. There are no video reviews, which could be used to determine intentional feeding and possibly weed out more of the trolling, which should also merit a ban. Sometimes people's internet fails and they end up AFK, sometimes they AFK because they are straight dodging. There are a lot of factors that can go into why people become toxic. What we as Leaguers need to do is shut down the toxic behavior when we see it. I have friends that like to flame people when things don't go their way, and I actually will have to calm them down in game. With people we don't know that start flaming a teammate, the worst thing we can do is flame that person back. Instead offer to help them with an objective or something. I played one game and was Wukong in the jungle, our TF mid was down 2 kills in mid lane, and was starting to get down and go on depressed tilt a bit. I offered him my blue buff, then he went and helped bot lane get a double kill, thus turning around his tilt, and potential toxic attitude before it really got started. I know a lot of junglers that would be like, "Mid lane 0/2, not getting my buff." He obviously could use the boost to help him get where he needed to be and it paid off. A great deal of toxic behavior comes from the inability to realize that we are all human and League is a game that forces humans to work together.

I still laugh when people like Lyte or some wannabe know it all on forums gives ideas on how to deal with toxicity... I'll save you guys the trouble and use what we call common sense. IT"S HUMAN NATURE..... Everyone gets mad and certain people deal with it in certain ways.. You will NEVER get ride of toxicity EVER...especially in competitive game play.. the sooner you guys realize that the less posts we have to see on the matter.

Sure you can ban people but you aren't going to change who they are , they will rather go to a different game or just make an ALT account.. Instead of trying to punish everyone like your the adult and they are little kids.. what Riot should be doing is look at why they are toxic and give them options to avoid being toxic like Disable chat feature which people have wanted since this game has been out.
