Why are the intervals between double and triple and quadra and penta so different?
u have roughly 10 seconds from double to triple and from quadra to penta that is 3 times bigger or more

quadra to penta is the largest one, because a player that kills 4 members of the enemy team then proceeds to chase the 5th down for 20 seconds still deserves that penta.
it was always awkward seeing someone get a quadra, then chase the last guy down and not have it count; because of that, they extended it.
note, I use 20 seconds loosely. IIRC being in combat extends the time for it, and i've personally seen it happen a minute after the quadra, give or take
