I want more merchandise.
As an avid League of Legends player, I have come to collect all the champions and all my favorite skins for my favorite champions and it is just such a fun experience. That's one thing about this game I love and it is that sense of connection the players have with their champions. We all have the champion we played when we first started and that champion that would carry us in ranked. There is also that champion we got our first pentakill with.
With the World Championships, the stores at the venue would have such a large selection of shirts and posters and some toys for the attendees and what really ccaught my attention was the Limited Edition Ahri Nendoroid. This is very important because Nendoroids, if you did not know, was a line of figures that produce super deformed versions of your favorite anime/manga/video game/comics characters. They have an established following in figure collecting communities and when the Ahri Nendoroid came out, even people who did not play League of Legends came in to drop by and express their desire for the Nendoroid figure.
I want to say that Riot should look and see how much potential they have with League of Legends and the distribution of merchandise. I am sure they already are looking at this but there can be more stuff to be presented and also an ease of access through the client. Honestly, if they wanted, they can have ads for their merchandise on their game. Most of all I want figures of champions. There's so much champions to choose from and so much variant skins to have. I just began collecting figures and as a League player, it's a shame to have so little figures to choose from, also not to mention the quadrupling of the Ahri Nendoroid in the aftermarket. Many people love this game and their champions and I am sure they'll love to have some figures or just more stuff to buy.
The only issue is that collecting figures is a super niche hobby outside of Japan. This might be the truth but the popularity of the game and its millions of fans will surely support it. Thanks for reading!
