On the Idea of Being Able to Spend Influence Points to be Able to Use a Custom Summoner Icon

One of the indirect, yet possibly significant costs of the new runes reforged system to riot is that, since players will no longer need to spend influence points on runes, and will probably stop buying rune pages (which can be a fairly large investment of influence points as well), players will generally have much more influence points to spend on champions and such, and most likely as a result, will not feel the need to spend money on riot points to buy champions as much as they used to. This effect is again quite indirect, and only time will tell just how significant it may or may not be, but among some ideas I have encountered for new ways to spend ip in the store, perhaps my favorite is the ability to use your own custom summoner icon. I think that having your own icon that shows up next to your account in the client, in the loading screen, and maybe even here on the boards, is something that a lot of players would be willing to invest a decent amount of ip in. I know for sure I would do it in a heartbeat, and I would certainly be willing to spend the 6300 that a new rune page or a recent champion would cost, possibly even more. I don't know exactly how much of a challenge this would be to implement, but with some standard file type restrictions, I would think that it could be doable with some time. As with summoner names, some people may choose inappropriate custom summoner icons, and these may be a bit harder for automated systems to catch than inappropriate names, so the player misconduct side of things may present a little bit of a challenge, but at the very least, since summoner names are already reportable, I think that inappropriate summoner icons would fit right in with that category. I would love to hear if anyone else is interested in an idea like this.
