LeaverBuster Warning - I do not agree

The only thing I'm guilty of was taking too long to realize that I should quit out of the game and client to restart them rather than sitting on the "Attempting to reconnect" screen.

Having to deal with this patronizing prompt that demands "I agree" is ridiculous. I didn't quit a game, I was DCd. I even reconnected!

I don't want to type "I Agree", that's admission of guilt, and I did nothing wrong. I was rather upset that I lost a game due to technical difficulties beyond my control, only to have to deal with this. I'm not sure what I'm guilty of other than not being in complete control over Riot's servers, reconnect technology and all the jumps from my PC to them.

My account is basically permabanned until I submit to this bullying? For taking too long to reconnect after a DC?

This doesn't make any sense. I am one of the least toxic people around, and I'm not a leaver/afker - I'm the type of player who never surrenders until inhibitors are dead. I don't deserve to be treated like this.

I was excited to be getting back into league after missing season 4. In season 3 I got diamond even though I wasn't very mechanically skilled - get this - by maining support and being positive.

This prompt is a bitter pill to swallow. You know what, even if I did give in, having to put up with that BS would have me too on tilt to play with the same degree of positivity. So I guess I'll just have to play other games and enjoy my faux permaban.

Here's a tissue for that issue, now you can cry me a river, I'll build you a bridge, so you can get over it.

They didn't slap your hand and take away your birthday they just said "Bro, don't leave, k?" - pretty simple. Get your knickers untwisted and League on.

The entire purpose of the prompt is to alert you that penalties exist if you leave games, because some people (newbies mostly) do not realize it's bad and they could get penalized.

It only shows up once, because Riot hopes they don't have to continually remind you not to leave games (and if they do, that's what Leaverbuster is for).

Though the wording apparently could certainly use some work so people don't feel like it's some kind of personal attack. The leave detection might be improvable too, but it's not really a big thing, and it is impossible to tell if you left because your internet derped or because you pulled the plug so you didn't have to play any more...

Just got this message today for the first time when my laptop froze and I had to reboot. I reconnected to the game and played out the rest of it.

No, fuck that, I don't agree.

  1. It's not like I left the game on purpose.

  2. I reconnected within a minute.

  3. I can't and won't promise that this won't happen again.

I know I can just type "I agree"... but I don't like being forced to lie. I'll eventually end up disconnecting from another game in the future. Sad to see that nobody has bothered to fix this in all the time since this original post.

If you agree to not leave a game, then just type I agree. Simple as that. If you think this is a battle you want to fight, so be it.

I got a similar thing a few weeks ago when my internet crapped out on me. The way I looked at it, typing the requested "I Agree" was not an admission of guilt, since I did not leave under my own choice, therefore I was merely agreeing to not deliberately leave a game, which I don't do to begin with. The part that pisses me off is that I won't be eligible the next time a free skin from RIot for good behavior comes out because of my stupid cable company.
