Finally at 1000 wins. Any Rioters out there?

It was December, 2011. My friend told me I had to try this crazy new game. It looked a bit weird (I couldn't understand why he was just 'dancing' around in the lane killing minions and not trying to go all in to kill his opponent) but I figured, what the hell I'll try it out. Apparently the 'new champ' that just came was this nine tailed fox named Ahri. She looked pretty cool so she became my first main.

Almost 4 years later (including an extended stay in Afghanistan for my job... 3000 ping with 50% packet loss the dream :-P) and I'm finally about to hit 1000 normal games!

So any Rioters out there want to hit me up to celebrate 1000 games?

Hey! Thanks for the reply. I am usually free on weekdays after 7/8pm EST (4/5pm PST) until like 1am as well as off and on all day on the weekends. :-)

Why would throw everything away to join the Canadian/US Army just to paid for education? iDK why kids like "guns" so much, they are too dangerous even in a life threatening experience on base!

O_o random... I didn't go in the Canadian/US Army... nor did anyone pay for my education except student loans that took me a while to pay off lol...

I am a software developer. The company I worked for sent me to Afghanistan on company business.

That said, I have nothing but respect for those that do serve. I lived around/with them on base while in Afghanistan. They are the reason we get to live as free as we do.

I hate jumping to conclusion, but yea anything that's states "Extended time Afghanistan" I usually see it as "you join the army for guns am i right?" In Canada we have less problems but USA has gun control problems, i wish it was sorted out:(

Afghanistan is just another country. Beautiful mountains, mild summers, and freezing cold winters with lots of snow. Maybe not the description you were expecting, but that is what the capital (Kabul) is like. I spent over 6 months there. Many civilians did. I was on an international base so I got to meet all kinds of people.

Still it was a harsh life. I lived in standard barracks with other US civilians/military. Our living conditions were pretty poor (3 men to a closet size room, showers with half the floor rotted out, etc) yet we lived like kings compared to the 'rich' Afghani civilians around us. I befriended a few and would often talk with the local school children. It really made me appreciate just how damn good I have it here back home, how much our solders sacrifice for us, and how bad other people around the world have it. Don't get me wrong, I still complain about random crap all the time. Such is life. But I always keep that perspective in the back of my head. It was an experience that I am very glad I went through... that and it payed pretty well too :-P.

Sides, here in the US guns are pretty easy to get anyways. You don't have to 'join the Army' and risk your life just to get a gun when you can buy one from the nearest Walmart.
