PBE Testing?

Let me introduce myself, my account is theren1 and I am currently in silver 5. I have been playing league of legends since early season 3. In early season 4 I found out about this awesome thing called pbe where you can test new things so I applied because it sounded interesting. I read the requirements and I am an active player (I don't often play ranked but I play normals almost every day). I have never been banned for going afk or chat restricted and I try to be generally a nice guy. Sometimes I can be a little salty but I do my best to be an optimist and if I'm having a problem, to block the player and as I mentioned before, I have never received any kind of warning or ban because I have pretty good self control. I constantly check my email for pbe but in almost 2 seasons I have never gotten accepted. Regardless, I understand that Riot is looking for different people and not always me but the 4 people I know that have started playing League of Legends after me were all accepted within three months. I am not here to complain but I was just wondering if anyone knew why this might be happening or if there is anything that I am missing.

tldr: Am I missing something about getting into the pbe?

From my experience I was accepted to try one of the new modes (I think it was Bots of Doom). It really boils to more to just play everyday and being chill avoiding bans. It also depends on the modes you play (3v3, dominion, Co-op, aram) the amount of champions you actually play or have matches with (not just the usual 10-20 champions) at one time (probably still does since they never upgrade those codes) it took into consideration how many ribbons were you getting (the honorable opponent, helpful, teammate thingy). Basically the more broad you are the better your chances get, if you only play normals with 10 champions and mostly mid laner you most likely won't get recruited until they do a mid item and role overhaul.

Also comes the luck factor, a lot of people just apply due to the amount of freebies you get (in my PBE account I "own" every skin currently available on the store, plus every rune type and 20 rune pages) so you can expect to be crowded. They most likely do a pre-selection to see what kind of people fill the profile and then they do a pick selection from the people that actually get a invitation to PBE.
