Are people against jokes or something?

So I was playing just a normal draft or whatever and like if I make one joke at this dude like we where losing and we knew we couldn't win and we started playing around and this guy just tilts and give me your so toxic and reported and you're gonna get banned. When did this community turn to where joking around and having fun like you should was turned into "your so toxic and bullying me." I kinda just wanted to rant about this and hear about what ever stories you guys have about it and what you think about it.
