I'm currently working on a smurf account on the oceania server and on that account I main support. But the problem is I don't know which support I should save up for since Braum and Thresh are both equally good in their own ways, so I decided to get a second opnion from you guys. Anyways post down below on which champ you think I should pick.

Sadistic Cheese1 votesGet both. No, seriously. Find a way to get both. Both serve different purposes and are best picked in different situations. Thresh is a good all-around pick, but when you need to go defensive, he doesn't have the sheer brick-wall/defensive capabilities that Braum has.
Zielmann1 votesThey're also both not uncommon to see either banned or picked up by the other team, so having both would help with that as well. Heck, you should have a third back-up option as well. Karma has good harassment and can fill in for some extra magic damage as needed. Janna has a lot of control and a nearly 100% up-time on shield. Nami is great at either engaging or disengaging, and she'll have some lane sustain that these other options don't provide.
Sadistic Cheese1 votesAgreed, I think Nami is the best choice out of all of those for a third in the stable, with Karma coming in second. Janna I like, and I agree that she's got great utility/control, but depending on the OP's ranking/MMR, I wouldn't advise it. I'm Bronze 3 and I can play Janna Support and shield and throw tornados all day, but if my team doesn't know what to DO with that CC/buffing, I become useless. Janna is the support for the player who knows how to support and for the team who knows how to use that support. The other three are solid picks even if your team can't capitalize very well on what you bring to the table.
Zielmann1 votesNami has largely been my go-to, but I still find it hard to rely on allies to make use of my CC and engage/disengage. But she's great at keeping that ADC alive in lane. Sometimes I do wonder if I should try going for more of a damage-oriented support with potential to actually carry while I'm stuck in silver-land. Karma, or even something like Zyra, could probably work well for that. Alas, I've basically given up on SR entirely for this season anyhow. I just don't like how the game feels right now (I honestly kind of miss the S3 vision wars that supports got to play).

A lot of times I look at games that my team loses and I look at the map and realize I'm the ONLY PERSON, Regardless of my role, buying and placing wards. If there weren't ward limits I'd be happy to fall back, ward up our jungle, and catch enemies out. Now unless the rest of the team does it, it doesn't get done. If they DO do it, it's done sloppy and my feeling tends to be: 'look, if these people won't do it right, Riot. Just let me do it.'
Zielmann1 votesI would absolutely love to see the utility tree get reworked again for next season. There should be a warding-related mastery high in the utility tree that will let you place 6 green and 2 pink wards.

If I absolutely have to pick one I'd do Braum. He can make plays and be a primary tank if he has to if he gets ahead or he can be a very strong peeling champion. His ult is very clear initiation and E can guarantee you block shit for your team. His whole kit can be used for peeling or initiation very well depending on what you have to do.
Thresh is slightly more team reliant when he makes plays than Braum only because Lantern is fairly important to utilize. Braum can at least proc his own passive if he absolutely has to.

solo Q the best support is nami who has great CC and disengage with healing powers for the ADC.

ZuNuR1 votesThresh, Braum, Morgana, Nami are the best supports. Personally, I love to use Leona over them though, because of her OP stunlock, engage/disengage tools and tankiness. You can basically disable the complete enemy team in teamfights by landing a good ult and then exhausting the adc and stunning the apc with your q. You can win teamfights entirely on your own and your team can faceroll without problems. You can even tank the carries' skillshots with your e-shield if your team shouldn't be able to clean everybody up. You're also pretty good at kiting and baiting enemies. Yeah, I love her.
AlphaWolvesGamer1 votesWhy not Sona? Walk around poking people for 20%-30% of their HP or 40%-50% with Crescendo? Low Rank and Low Elo, you want to be able to self carry, even as a support.
SmokingPuffin1 votesBraum is too specialized to be the best all-around support. He's really good at defending and really bad at attacking. He does have good synergy with Lucian and Tristana, so that's nice for current meta.

oh you wanna die1 votesboth are amazing supports, but i feel like braum is better, its close but braum is a better baby sitter, his q range is almost as good if not as good as threshs q, and his passive is just insane, you can max his w second and give it to your adc, if you have an adc like graves, with his passve he becomes very tanky, and his utl is just amazing in teamfights.
if you take braum + lucian you can dominate bot lane, both passives together are just crazy strong.
