you have two options

  1. sort by "new" and post in threads that will be ignored since everyone sorts by "best"

or

  1. sort by "best" (terrible term) and post in threads that are 6 months old.

Who sorts by Best? "Hot" I can see, but Best? I don't know anyone who would find it useful to browse through the same unbalanced 100+ upvoted topics several dozen times.
