Creating a Trial system

Here is an idea i've seen in other Massively Multiplayer games.

What if there was a system beyond free-week that was able to introduce summoners to new champions? I wouldn't want to spend IP or RP on new champions that I've never played, so what if every Summoner was given a one time only, for each champion, a free trial run. The same applies to skins. I wouldn't want a crappy one that just looks cool in the client, so maybe I could play with it once?

All in all it would be a great way to try out new champions for newer players and a great way to show newer players the game we all love so much!
