New queue a failure?

I want to start this off saying that I like the idea of the new queue but I think it has failed. Recently I have spent more time in queues than I have in games, and I'm not in a super high elo. I have seen more dodges in the last few days than I have for a long time with the old system. Also people don't seem to understand that you have to lock in, which I think is unnecessary, if you are hovering on a champ it should count. I am sure that will get better as the system stays in place longer but the queue times need to change. Waiting 10-15 minutes to play a 20-30 min game is unreal. I have no idea why this is happening but I can't be the only one experiencing this.

Oh God, I'm sick of seeing these threads. I swear, if you guys had your way, we'd be in the stone age. The new champ select is fine. Never experienced long Q times since its release. A great improvement to ranked play by far. Please Riot, fix what you gotta fix but don't get rid of it please.

Keep hearing people saying this, but I have timed my last 5 games and average around 8 minutes to get into a game which is no longer then the old queue.

The lock in thing is actually smart, once people get used to it they will lock in quicker than waiting out the full time like they always did with the old system and it will make the new system shorter.

These are just growing pains. People will get used to the new system and things will speed up. Riot is still working on the matchmaking, players will learn to always lock in instead of wasting everyone else's time, and the draft-less variant of the new champ select will be a thing eventually.

I have had one issue with queuing up ONCE. after 90 secs of waiting i canceled, re-queued and it was fine. i think these are just hiccups. my biggest gripe is that i still have ping spikes. some of my friends do too. i hope that will be remedied soon!

Its the same. Stop whining. At worst I have had one dodge and had to queue again. But the wait is not any different. In fact, you reduce a few minutes right off the bat because you declared your champ and have been given a lane. Its perfect.

you people can say all you want that its progress but when progress takes 15-25 mins to get into a game its not progress its a step backwards which is exactly what this is. its a joke

agree it is a complete failure getting into games take forever dodges non stop played my first blind pick games in a long time because of this failed Q system. really wish riot would bring back the old one. and look another dodge been in Q for this ranked game 15 mins now
