so I just spent 35 dollars buying RP by my credit card on Jan 16, and today when I check my bill details I find out there are 2 transactions I never made. It's in Miami and I am living in Canada. I do not 100% sure that my credit card info. leaked by riot, but after this time, I do know it is not safe to buy RP online.
You realize that more credit card information is stolen physically by credit card skimmers than by typing it in on websites, right? Gas stations, ATM's, the waitress at the restaraunt you went to last night, etc. Don't jump to conclusions.
A better lesson to learn would be to know your computer so you can avoid getting spyware that will leak your credit card number out when you enter it in.
It's as safe to buy online as your computer is secure... if you're not good at maintaining your computer's 'health' then ya... probably better to avoid buying by credit card online. But this applies to everything, not just RP.
What I'm reading: you bought RP and you have an identity theft problem. These things are probably not related if they happened on the same day. Check your other purchases and your own computer for malware. Contact your bank to have the transactions nixed and the thief apprehended.
It's possible that you buying RP is related to your identity theft. But, I wouldn't call it likely. More likely is that you have some malicious software on your computer.
