Why League no let me connect to server?

Why will league not let me in? I type in my username and password and it will not connect to the server. But when i check the status of the server it says that it is running fine. So when i try and contact support to assist me in letting me in the support website is down. Really riot? how can your support site be down if that is what is to support the people who play this game. Anyone else not letting them connect?
