Any poll that has any of the movies from the 2nd trilogy in the top 4 is not even close to being official. They rank 5,6 and 7. Don't care what order because they all sucked compared to the other 4. Empire Strikes back always has and probably always will be the best of the bunch to most people and critics. My personal favorite is Return of the Jedi.

I would go Empire - Force Awakens - Revenge, otherwise I agree. Might even flip 2 and 3, both good movies. Empire is just so good though, can't put the others above it personally.

Laughing Fish Why? Why would start a generational based argument doomed to lead you to down votes? That being said I do agree that the prequels deserve more credit even if the phantom menace's only saving grace was darth maul hahaha.

--As someone who spent 100's of hours reading "Legends" Star Wars books growing up...and..you know..knowing what Star Wars was before 1999...Force Awakens was about as good as Shurima's lore. Was the movie good? I ...uh..guess.... Was it worth killing off my childhood's worth of Star Wars lore like Courtship of Princess Leia, New Jedi Order: Star by Star, Rogue Planet, and Tales of the Bounty Hunters?

I'm hoping Episode 8 makes up for my lost lore.....like Rito's Soon(tm) on giving us a world map and...stuff. But the movie in itself...as a replacement for all the old lore....was bad. Really bad. Only reason I didn't rate it 7th was because of the hope of things to come. It has potential to make some cool things, but in itself, does not have those cool things. Unlike Ep 1 and 2...which pretty much expended all the potential to make cool things it will ever make...and..they weren't worth it. Though the Toonami Clone Wars thing was pretty neet. But yeh...if Ep8 ends up being bad... item 3070
