After 6 years, I think I'm finally done with this game.

I know some of you will say "It's just preseason, get over it." but I've been feeling like this since mid/late season 4. I've been playing since season 2 and the state of the game right now is just unfun. I used to have insane amounts of fun the first couple years I started playing, now, it's just stressful as hell. I miss when people actually picked different champions for roles instead of just seeing the same champs every game. I miss when games would last 40+ minutes. I miss when games didn't have a winner by the 10-15 minute mark. I guess I just miss how this game used to be.

Back when I first started, I was able to pick whatever champion I wanted to play without fear of getting flamed. Now? Not so much. There are only a handful of champions that perform exceeding well, and if you don't choose these champions, you most likely will get flamed at by your teammates. Not only that, if you do pick an off-meta champion, you're going to have to work extra hard to be able to perform well.. and for what? you're hard work is most likely going to go down the drain because these few champions just do their job too well. It really sucks. :( I'm just suck and tired of having to play & play against the same champs over and over again, it's no fun. Also, there have been a lot of changes and reworks to champions I used to love to play, and now? it doesn't even feel like the same champion any more. The changes to these champions just make this game feel like a totally different game because the champs are not who they used to be. Some of the champions that were reworked were the whole reason I started to play this game, I was having FUN on them, and then riot just goes ahead and completely changes them. I just feel like riot is pushing champion reworks too fast. Some people are enjoying this... but I certainly am not.

Now onto the length of games.. These days I'm finding the lengths of games have been extremely short, now.. I don't mind these short games, but I REALLY miss the long 40+ minute games where either side could win. It was exciting. These days the game is already determined by the 10-15 minute mark, and the team who is ahead stays ahead. It's very difficult to come back when you're behind. It's just too easy for the enemy team to snowball at the moment. Towers fall too easily, armor & MR feel worthless, and the new items/masteries just makes some champions damage disgusting. Back in the day, if the enemy team was ahead, you at least had a chance to work as a team and win. I think the only time I was able to come back from being behind this patch, was when the enemy team had an AFK half way through the game, and even then.. it was still hard as hell. It just sucks putting all this time and effort to just fail miserably in the end.

After all of these changes that have been happening recently, I've finally had enough. This game isn't the same game it used to be, and it saddens me. I have plenty of more reasons why I've lost interest but I'd rather not take up all any more of you guys time. I really hope riot can bring the fun back into this game for you guys. I know how many people are dedicated to this game, and I'm certain people feel the same way I do. I don't think I'll be returning even if they do that because like I said, It's not the same game I fell in love with. It's been a good 6 years but I guess I will leave now.. Good bye everyone!! Hopefully you have been having more fun than I have had these past couple months!

Riot changes stuff to keep it different. Sad to say it, but the majority of people would rather play a constantly changing new game than the same one over and over. While the games are starting to get similar, they are going to fix it. I don't know what to say about your "pick any champ" thing, but that's how things turn out sadly. You can try premades with things like this.

I started playing this game right after the release of ekko. I don't have as much time as you on this game, but I feel like it's worthwhile to say that I've never seen people complaining about your champion pick. I've seen plenty of people complain about what people are building, but that's because they're doing bad with something that's not off meta, but is simply stupid. It's sad to see so many people leaving this game, including one of my best friends. But if you find any redeeming factor to the game in its current state, I would say stick with it till things get sorted out. If this game has completely lost your interest I understand completely (coming from a Counter-Strike background).
