Hey guys! So for a while now i've been thinking about creating my very own Twitch stream where I can broadcast my journey to get from bronze 1 to as high as I can go. However, i'm super new to all of this live streaming stuff AND trying to make a profile that looks nice and clean. I was wondering if anyone could give me tips, tricks or advice as I start trying this whole Twitch thing! Thanks C:Lulu

It's hard to get started steaming in a game as popular as League. You must be able to be content with 0 viewers for a while.

Twitch doesn't have any native way to attract viewers to new streams. You'll have to have effective advertising on both the boards and probably Reddit if you want the stream to go anywhere. You need to let people know why they should watch your channel as opposed to another. Some people have tried to get some people initially interested via give aways, which works to some extent.

Makes friends among the twitch community. Your first viewers will always be your friends, if you haven't made any... you won't have any. And it'll take AGES to get any. But if you have some friends, you'll usually have a few viewers coming to join. And other streamers for whom you are a known quantity may even host you and share their viewers with you.

You build a community by being a PART of the community. I don't stream LoL, but the vast majority of my viewers for my stream have come from other peoples' streams who have seen me and thought I was nice. Don't go to other streams and advertise your stream, just go to other streams and be a viewer and a friendly chatter. It's the best way to get started.

Good luck! I've just passed 200 followers after about 6 months(woot!), so don't expect it to come quick... but if you're diligent and make friends, it'll happen :)

Heya! I mod for my friend's stream too ( she's new to streaming as well) and first off, regular streaming hours! You wanna get like regular viewers onto your stream so a proper schedule does wonders! Second of all, a good profile! When people load onto lesser known streams, they stay for the personality of the streamer, so you gotta let them know about yourself! Favorite champions, Hobbies, interests, dislikes etc Also, there are plenty of modding tools on twich ( Xan bot, Moobot and Nightbot etc) get used to them to avoid chat spam!

And for giveaways, personally I think new streamers should hold off on it. Giveaways do attract people true, but they also attract the people there for "Only the goodies" who'd just leave your stream afterwords

Anyways, good luck! I'll be cheering you on! :)
