Permanently banned. First time ever receiving ban and its permanent.

Hi Dear Community, Sadly a short time ago I received notice that my account had been permanently suspended. Today I am here because I would like a bit more of an explanation than Riot was able to deliver and however unlikely it may be, possibly to get my account restored. I have had some trouble with Chat restrictions in the past and I know I have flamed etc. But I have only gotten chat restricted 2 times and I have finished both of them. The last time I was chat restricted I received almost only honors from when I received the restricts to when I finished them. I really have gotten a lot better than I was before but all the sudden my account has been permanently suspended. I link you here to a discussion from the past where another persons account was permanently suspended, as you will be able to read for yourself he received a 3 day ban, a 7 day ban, and a 14 day ban before his account was banned. http://forums.na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=3386807 . I never received any sort of ban except for in game Chat restrictions before this and don't understand how I can get permanently banned without warning. The reason I got banned is because of 1 game. A game where I was extremely mad at the Shaco in our team since he flamed in the game Lobby. In the game its self he called our whole team noobs while he took 0 dragons, never ganked, never helped us for that matter and only blamed us for the loss. So I turned around and blamed him back. I admit not all of it was his fault. I recently went through a breakup and was having a really bad day anyways which made it a lot easier for me to get pissed very fast when he started to annoy me. My whole team ended up reporting this Shaco and they all blamed/flamed him in game too. So I certainly wasn't the only person to tell him to shut up a few times. I also never used Cuss words throughout the game which makes it even more surprising that Riot banned me and sent me the logs from that game. I don't find it fair for the punishment for this game to be this harsh, especially after the Shaco flamed at me, called me noob and quoted my stats multiple times when I wasn't doing well, people are aloud to flame you forever but you can't say a word to them? I think it's sorta funny that they say I was punished by the Tribunal even though the Tribunal is stated by Riot to be out of service at the moment and under maintenance. I will end this post here as I think it is long enough for 1 day. I thank you in advance for any Help and Advice on the matter. While I think it unlikely I would also like to hear if anyone knows of a way or a tip on how to get my account restored. Thanks and for a nice day!

Update: I just got an update from Riot Support, my case has been reviewed and my ban has been lifted. Thx for all that helped me in this situation

Idk what to make of. You never said "kill yourself", you never called him any slurs or homophobic comments, You spammed the same thing alot, but its understandable when the shaco was flaming. I can see why you would possibly get a 2 week or less, but a perma? must be something else, idk what, but that text doesn't seem at all close to what ive seen in perma bans. send a ticket int o have them review it.

lol i stopped caring about lyte when I seen "it don't matter what others say to you, its what you say back to em" type of logic or lack of logic. This is the only game I know where u can get perma banned for calling someone useless, but every female character is soft core hentai porn and don't even get me started about how PG-13 that bildgewater lore was, by lytes system the lore woulda had 75 chat restrictions placed on it

Under the Tribunal, players were punished based on recidivism - so the more trips they made the the Tribunal, the harsher their punishments became. They could even sit at regular 2-week bans for quite some time before being issued perma-bans. This was determined to be ineffective.

So they switched to a less lenient "three-strikes" system. Specifically, Lyte has stated that those strikes could be behavioral sanctions of any sort - chat restrictions, Ranked restrictions, or bans. Which, since you've never received a ban before, begs the question: have you received restrictions before?

As an additional note, this ban was not issued for a single game. Rather, Riot's current system only automates the sending of logs from the game that triggered the punished case. While that game was a factor, it was certainly not the only factor.

I'm going to put a shorter version of the answer I gave above. I know people who had 5 chat restrictions 3 ranked restrictions and there is a youtuber named Shaclone with 5000+ Chat restrictions who also had a 2 week ban before. How could I get banned this quickly with no previous day or week bans while other people get miles of leeway?

Because the policy was fully implemented very recently. The first I heard about it was a little more than a week ago. Even if I was late to the party (and I probably was, to be honest), it can't be more than about 2-3 weeks old.

I understand what your saying and thanks a lot for all the time your taking for reading all of this and these posts. But do you think since Riot decided to make a new system that people should get banned this fast? How do they expect to maintain this game when they ban users within 3 or 4 cases of bad behavior? I'm normally not one of those Riot does everything wrong Rito plz guys... but this is just wrong on a lot of levels

According to Lyte, their data has shown that reform rates for players with more than three sanctions (of any form) are basically nonexistent - players who get that far just aren't responding to the system. Considering the attitudes I see about it from most players complaining about a ban or restriction, I find that pretty believable. My experience indicates that most of the time those players are refusing to recognize how their own behavior is a part of their problem. I'm also pretty sure that there is some form of "statute of limitations," where it's possible for previous punishments to drop off your record over time.

A lot of people have had sanctions on their account, but it's not really a large amount of the community - somewhere between 1-5% at any given point in time. I'm sure that someone, somewhere has crunched the numbers to determine how such a policy would likely affect the bottom line and decided it would be workable. Whether that turns out to be the case or not is something only time will tell.

Yes well... I have had 2 sanctions not 3, and Lyte also says that it doesn't matter how others treat you, if you treat them badly even if your treating them the exact same way they treat it you deserve to be banned... That is when I stopped believing in Lyte. It sounds nice and all but its just not realistic. We are human beings. Thanks for your devotion on this post you're giving me a lot to think about and i'm frankly sorta enjoying it.

Sometimes it seems like Riot just looks at your personal chat logs and not the other players'. It would explain a lot.

I'm not even sure they look at it all. Seems to me if any Rioter with common sense and a bit a knowledge about the league community looked at my account he would just give me another chat restrict or maybe a 3 day ban. If even that considering the amount of honors i've been getting lately.. I've really been trying to get better at it. Lately I almost only play with real life friends over premade skype so I dont even have to use the chat except for saying Rotate bot, Go drake. Go baron etc etc.

I can't say whether or not you deserved it because I don't know all the facts, but I know that sadly this will become the norm.

They said recently, now that the system is running "fully" that punishments will become harsher and likely more often to really crack down on toxic behavior. I can't say or not if I agree with it, because in some cases they are far too lenient (doing bad is one thing. People that just troll for the sake of being bored to troll and intentionally feed just shouldn't be playing. Go play another game and stop trolling).

You might be a "victim" so to speak, of the new harsher system.

The reason you got such a harsh ban most likely, is due to the fact that you already had punishments in the past.

Harder punishments are dealt out to people with history of previous punishments, it's possible that you got reported just as much as the Shaco did, and if you've had a consistent stream of reports coming through, it just built a much larger case against you.

Typically people who flame make a habit of it, and as such, just because that's the game that you got banned for, doesn't mean it was the only thing taken into consideration during your ban.

Yes I think I sadly have developed a bit of a habit of flaming, but lately its been better and today I just had this game.... The same thing happened to my friend Tyfuun a few weeks ago. He has already gotten chat restricts 5 times and ranked restricts 3 times, he has also been banned for 2 weeks before. I dont understand how other people can get so much leeway and I who have had 2 chat restrictions, and who have been acting a lot better lately and constantly getting honors can get perma banned so quickly. I also have heard of people receiving warning emails or alike. But I never received any kind of warning except chat restricts. And lets be honest. A massive part of the League community has chat restricts. Look at shaclone the Youtuber with 5000+ Chat restricts. How can he even get that far and I get perma banned so fast???

Normally i'm on the ban side since most of the time people are lying but for two chat restrictions is a perma needed. No. yes a punishment but perma...that's like saying someone got the death penalty just for disturbing the peace

I am a super judgmental person who is inclined to approve of most bans I hear about. But a permanent ban for that seems pretty harsh. Especially since it was your first time banned according to you. Did you ask support?

I emailed support yesterday shortly after I was banned. The post I posted here was very similar to my email to the support. Yes first time banned. I have never been banned before. The only thing I have had is 2 chat restricts and 1 of them the same time as a ranked restrict. So maybe 3? idk but it came at the same time so im not sure. I have also heard of warning emails or what not but I never got any of that... just logged on after that bad game and was perma banned

No it's not, the jungler's job is to gank vulnerable lanes and manage objective control, NOT to babysit you and make sure you get fed. If you can't do well in your lane 1v1 then you have no one to blame but yourself.

Also:

I have seen people get 14 day bans for much worse, so I guess a permanent suspension is overkill and I feel a little bit bad for you, but it's unacceptable nonetheless. I'm sure if you had stopped yourself from typing these two messages, your punishment would have been much less. Junglers hate being criticized, they have the most pressure on them and you trying to micromanage them and point out all their faults is going to make them angry. No one is perfect, maybe he didn't gank enough but insulting him for it is a sure way to guarantee a loss and a possible account suspension.

He also gave you blue so he clearly isn't trying to troll. You critizicing him is probably what made him give up on trying to win the game. There is no such thing as KS in a team game, and a fed Shaco can carry. Be lucky he ganked you at all despite you crying KS.

Yes but a permanent ban? I have seen people in game saying get cancer, I hope your family dies and calling people gay n*gga before. How are there hundreds of people who do that in every game and I get banned for this? And fyi on your last comment. Im not lucky he ganked at all.. cause he didnt gank at all. He just came to my lane when I was at base or dead and killed what I left over never giving me an assist or kill. Yes I know I acted badly and if you actually read my full post you will see that I admit that, but I cursed only in those 2 messages while he called me noob and useless feeder etc all game while quoting my stats when I was losing lane. I do main jungle and I normally play more passive junglers so when I jungle I do try to feed the laners. Also the only reason I started flaming him in the first place is that he was already flaming the team since champion select. Not just me, he blamed the whole team for everything and acted as if he was the perfect person while he took 0 drakes, ganked max 1 time on bot and none anywhere else and was just afk farming jungle till 20 min. I just dont see how other people get 5 or 6 times chat restrict a 3 day ban then 7 day then 2 week ban or however many times it took shaclone to get 5000+ chat restricts and I get permabanned with no warning. Everyone has a bad day and this the only game in at least 2 months that I have flamed like this.. I had chat restrict before but I have gotten a lot better at it and stopped flaming. Hense me not having chat restrict any more. So instead of another chat restrict or ranked restrict or whatever.. I got a permanent ban. GG

Then what exactly is your business commenting here? If you read my full post I said I admit it was a bad game and I flamed. But he flamed me and the team all game so I wasn't really bothered at letting it out on him a bit. Lyte says it doesn't matter what people say to you, its what you say to them. How realistic is that? No matter how much people annoy you no matter how bad they flame you, your not allowed to say something to them? You may hate me for that comment but that is in no way offensive, verbal abuse or anything the like. I even said please..
