My life, My story.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I would like to take a moment to introduce my self. My name is Taras and I am extremely passionate about music Just like many talented kids out there. I just lost my job and am having a hard time finding a new job. My mission is to become a successful musician producer, writer and actor. I will build my opportunity to live free and help my friends and loved ones around me. I will let the music speak for its self. I was born in Ukraine and spent half of my life there. Speaking a different language living different culture. When I was three my father left to the United States to make money and make ends meet for our family. I was left with just my mother. I don’t have any siblings since my parents could not afford other additions to the family. My mother followed my dad to immigrate to the states when I was only five leaving me in the care of my grand parents. My whole child hood was a struggle to be reunited with my parents and having enough money to survive in a country that is not economically rich or even stable. When I was ten years old the decision was made that I will be moving to America illegally with a fake guardian mother, passport and name since there was no other way of doing so legally. I went to Moscow, Russia and lived in a one-bedroom apartment where my papers would be developed and my volunteer mom would be found. I lived there for about 9 months with out leaving the building. All I could really do was read, draw and daydream. There were about 9 other people in that building for the same thing. The house would always change. I would sleep during the day to stay away from yelling, fighting and conflicts between the roommates and stay up at night and keep my self-busy. We had two past attempts at making it though immigration that failed. We got send back searched and humiliated. I remember when we had to wait for a flight in Amsterdam for three days. I snuck in to one of the shops at night and took a tape player with a Pinks Tape and Eminem Show Album. With out even knowing English I got obsessed with American hip-hop and pop. I quickly fell in love with music, sound, words and story telling. It was my only escape from the place I was in. With the use of trains, buses, cars and planes I finally made it into America. I fell asleep In Tijuana, Mexico in the back of a car and opened my eyes in Hollywood. I’ve been dying to go back there ever since. We took a bus across the United States to Chicago to reunite with my parents. From there on life was becoming a bit more normal…Except for the fact that the lady that made my papers ran off and left me with nothing but a birth certificate, court dates, immigration lawyers, deportations, no money, a frustrated and desperate family, blood sweat and tears and an enormous amount of fear of loosing everything and everything in between. But the good thing she left me here with is a damn good story and an incredible determination to become a successful musician in a land of opportunity. I plan to do just that.
