Quinn

Am I the only one displeased with Quinn's new ult? I know they were trying to give ADC's their own unique flair, but Quinn's was already unique. Being able to practically be a new champion for a moment seems pretty different than the others. The new ult is kind of boring. You get to fly around as long as you want and you still have the rain of arrows, which activates upon entering combat. If you accidentally auto attack before getting to the enemy, your arrow rain does absolutely nothing. you can't use it as a finishing blow any longer since you cannot activate it in combat and it takes a while to charge. You can no longer use her ult as an escape skill either, and non of her other skills make up for it. This new ult is boring and doesn't fit Quinn in my opinion. If league sticks to this ult I will most likely not play her again.

I'd like to hear others' thoughts on this. (:

she'll be a more reliable split pushers since she sucks in pretty much every other area already.

No, she was good in pretty much every area. What they've done now is the opposite of what you said: now she sucks on every are, and is only minimally ok at split pushing

Nope, you're not alone. The PBE thread has over 800 comments of people not wanting this rework, many of them actually detailing what is wrong with it or where it could be improved.

Well hopefully they will cancel this like they did the riven rework and we can all go back to being happy Quinn players

It's too late, the rework is already locked in and what's on the PBE now is being shipped with 5.22. After that all we are getting is a pseudo-blind (graves smoke bomb) and some follow up balance changes. I've already said goodbye to my first main and level 5 mastery champ. I had all her skins, and loved playing her (most of the time I would win too).

Hey, at least the Graves rework is fun. (also Kindred ADC is pretty good too)

I'm 100% in agreement with you on how much BS this rework is. Quinn has long been my main adc/top, and like you I too have bought every skin. I only came to learn about what they did to her after getting excited to get her in an aram only to get buried in the litterbox because she can no longer do much of anything. Her ult is literally nothing more than a speed boost that even a tap will knock you out of. She has little to no survivability anymore. Our beloved quick-reaction and high speed champion is now nothing more that turret fodder... I'm sincerely hoping Riot fixes her, because where she stands now, I may never be able to play her again. I'd rather keep the image of my beloved adc/assassin in my head over this sad excuse of a champ... ; . ;

exactly! It's honestly upset me so badly that I'm considering just looking for a new game. They want to "make the game feel more versatile and unique", and then they ruin all versatility :/

I feel the same way I posted about it earlier

http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/V6RW6Mse-i-really-wish-they-would-of-left-quinns-ult-alone

Basically I've been playing Quinn all day today and I can't tell you how many times my INSTANT CAST ULT saved me so many times.

And NeonPike, her split pushing is fine already, sure she will be able to use it more frequently with the new ult, but if you participate in team fights, u usually don't even really notice its cool down between uses.

On a side note im curious on how many people say Quinn sucks after actually giving her a real valiant effort to learn her, sort of like what happened to Urgot in the LSC earlier this year. they didn't change anything about him, but because he was played in the LCS he was suddenly kinda good.

I've played Quinn, she's not terrible, but if she were fixed, (all her passive bugs fixed, and her E made smoother) she'd be one of the most overpowered overbearing ADCs in the game.

ModWulf Helhammer1 votes

Then they fix that, and tweak her numbers a bit, not turn her into a new champion

Kitsuné2 votes

I totally agree with this, her old ult was so much better and much more fun. I really hope riot reconsiders the Quinn changes, I even made jokes at one point suggesting that valor be its own champion, but really it was soooooo fun. Don't ruin it for us riot. P.S. If they remove the blind on normal form q, they should AT LEASY keep it in ult form because you can't really duel without it cause of squish

Her split pushing sucked because she had low amount of aoe skills... not because of lack of mobility. The new "rework" is totally misplaced.

I pretty much quit playing after the re-work. League altogether.

Games die. League is and has for a long time been getting worse imo.

She had a great & unique identity as a short ranged adc with great assassination potential. Her roaming potential was already great. The problem was mainly her autoattack animation was extremely slow and made autoattacking very clunky compared to any other adcs (this was more of a problem than her range). And her passive was bugged to fucking shit.

Sword of Silence2 votes

Honestly I really hope riot responds to the people who miss the old Quinn ultimate. She was my favorite champion, being able to go from ranged ADC to mobile Assassin was a lot of fun, and made every game feel interesting. They say that's their goal now, but they made her feel like the most boring watered down champion ever. A "proc as many passives as possible" champ with a little taxi for an ult. Honestly I'm considering quitting the game at this point.

Just tried out new Quinn and I am pretty sure I got a brain tumor from how bad I was raging. Her old ult was so fun to me and I thought it was perfectly fine cause it actually let you get kills/do damage. This one.. not so much. I feel like it already makes a practically useless champ completely useless. 2 second channel for a free Uber ride around the map oh yay!!!

The problem is that the Quinn rework was taken in a totally different direction. Quinn's kit was a mess (and still is), and she had/has no real identity other than the chick with a bird. What she needed was a COMPLETELY new ult, lower cooldowns, and a ton of passive bugfixes. She got none of that.

CrazedPorcupine1 votes

Quinn's Quit was mix of duelist, assassin, and bruiser. She had no "direction". Her rework fixed most all the bugs with her passive, added more ways to reliably trigger it, and made it scale better into the late game.

Also, for unique direction, Bruiser ADC was given to Graves, Duelist ADC is still Draven/Vayne, and Assassin ADC is Twitch.

Quinn's most unique thing was Valor's massive speed bonus. They basically took that and turned Quinn into the Roaming ADC.

From what I understand, Quinn Mid will become her best position because of her ability to roam as well as someone with TP.

ModWulf Helhammer2 votes

No, Draven and Vayne are not meant to be duelists, that is a niche that doesn't have anyone in it right now. Vayne is a tank burster, and Draven is the "I one-shot you unless you do something about it" carry. Twitch is still more of a wombo ADC with that ult (and no amount of resets on his stealth is going to change that) They took Quinn, ripped her of her identity (which, by the way, was always intended to be a duelist as Quinn, with an extreme burst of power as Valor, but at the cost of going melee), weakened her kit, and forced her into the lane people play her least in

She can move quickly pretty much as long as she likes while avoiding combat. Sure she can get across the map quickly, but that doesn't count for much if she can't do damage or use it for escape. A new ult would have been fine potentially, but the way they did it really wasn't good. Playing Quinn, I'd look forward to her ult. Now it makes little difference. At level 6 it was easy countering people who were tower diving. Someone gets in your face under tower? ult and fly around the tower til they die, or activate it again for a finishing hit to get them gone faster. Now her ult, you can MAYBE run away from they tower. That is, if they let you actually cast your ult.

The rework actually made me think of uninstalling. after i looked at the pbe feed back thread and saw how opposed to it the community was it made me realize riot doesn't care about us. The preseason kills me.
