Placement Surprise

I don't get this. I finished last season in silver, had three afks during placement matches (and no afkers on opposing teams), finished the series 4-6 and got placed to BRONZE FUCKING 5.

I really just don't understand this. Last season I went like 2-8 in my placement and got placed to Bronze 3. Is there a reason behind this?

I am pretty pissed because I spent so long climbing out of Bronze last season and now I looks like I have to do it all over again. And the difference in gameplay is huge. Bronze 5 is mainly filled with aksers, trolls, total noobs, and other garbage. I'm really speechless. Does anyone have a similar experience?

At least I have a silver border still. This is very disappointing.

I started S2, went right into silver. S3 didn't play much ranked. Working alot etc. S4 quit playing ranked because of trolls and afks ruined 3-4 promotion matches. I mean like going b4 to b3, lost first 2 matches because of trolls/ afk. I just quit playing ranked. Now this year, first 5 matches were good. Won 4 lost 1. Even pulled out a couple of clutch wins there. Final 5 matches lost at LEAST 4 games because of trolls and afk. My kda was high as yours man. I'm just sick about it.

I feel you, man. I dropped from Silver 2 to Bronze 4 with a 6-4 placement record.

I just can't play outta Bronze again, and since ranked is really what I loved about LoL in the first place, I find it really disappointing. Being a player who actually wants to play a good game, and learn to win makes advancing out of Bronze absolute hell with this toxic player base. It's just not fun, and is more like work!

Yeah that sucks. The afks and trolls are really bad in lower bronze. In B1 is when the game play significantly improves in my opinion.

I'm wondering if there are changing something about the ranking system this season.
