Promotion Games are Toxic to Ranked

Hi friends, Just wanted to talk about the ranked system in League of Legends, specifically the promotion games. I am currently a Silver 5 player who has been trying his hardest to break through to Silver 4 and have failed repeatedly because IMHO the promotion system is broken. Before anyone starts giving examples of professional level players bringing smurf accounts from unranked to diamond, let me just say that I am not pro and for decent players without godlike mechanics it should not be this difficult.

I have failed about 6 promo series in a row probably in the span of a week & a half. While some have been because of my own fault, most of the promo games lost were due to literally AFK/DC's, trolls and brand new players who somehow got paired with me in my promos (looking at you top lane Kayle who built nothing but attack speed and no ap and did less damage than our support). Why is it that I can consistently reach my 100 LP in my league and then be forced to play with people that have no business being in my promotional games? Why do promotional games even exist?

I can understand having promotional games for jumping from bronze to silver, and silver to gold and so forth, however; having the unnecessary grind of tier promo games for going from in my example Silver 5 to Silver 4 creates a toxic experience that makes ranked a giant time sink. Why even play ranked if half of the promotional games are based on luck? Yes I said it. Luck has a lot to do with this, unless you've played this game since BETA or season 1 and are a professional player, that creates a smurf account and roflstomps lower elo players.

I know I belong in a higher ranking, but forgive me for not being able to carry a team that literally goes double ADC bot and a Lee Sin that decides to AFK, I can only do so much.. So I lose 2 promo games in a row and now am back to around 60ish LP and its time to once again have to win 2 games in a row just to be able to have a random chance of trolls in promo games. Come on Riot.... I think its time to take a good hard look at your broken system that is PROMOTIONAL GAMES.
