Improving the System
I have an idea that I think would help the community of this game. My idea is regarding ranked game modes. When people play ranked, there are often "feeders", "afk players", etc. It is annoying to play with these type of players, and the difficulty to win is increased immensely with a player of this sort on your team. Therefore, to move up in the rankings is much more difficult. My idea for the change is to slightly change how LP is distributed. If a player feeds but their team still wins, it means that one or more players had to carry them to victory. They are then rewarded when they do not deserve the reward. I think that it would be best to give out LP based on a Win AND the performance at which they performed this match. Similarly, if a team loses and there is one person that just feeds, they should lose more LP than others on their team. To keep the system in balance, you can still give out the same amount of LP per team, but it would be distributed differently. I know that this would help in many ways, one being that a feeder will not climb as easily even with a friend there to do all of the work. This would also provide players with a feeling that they are rewarded for doing a great job carrying their team to victory when it was difficult to carry their team. When there is one player on a team that is very good and the rest of the team is terrible, it helps that one good player will not fall so much from a bad match up. I know that there are a lot of people that stop playing LOL and games like it because the community can often be frustrating and the matchmaking system is random which means there is no guarantee that you will get a team that even tries to win.
