Is there a way to enable the winter summoner's rift map for all game modes? (edit map files, etc.)

First off, I love that the winter summoner's rift has returned after so long! Snow and winter in general always make me happy. I had been looking forward to the winter map since it was announced, but didn't realize I would have to choose between the game mode I want to play or the map skin I want to use.

I know mapskins.com has the PBE version of the winter summoner's rift up for installation via their client Wooxy, but I would prefer to use the official live version now for ranked and after the event ends on January 9th. As far as I can tell, there is no easy way to manually edit map files or just replace the ranked-default version with the winter version. I'm not even sure where the directory for each map is.

Any help with this would be appreciated since I know Riot won't officially support choosing between map skins anytime soon. Maybe even someone who knows how to upload the live version to mapskins! I'm also just hoping to get some visibility and show that there is some demand for using different skins.
