Trolls and AFKs

I have been playing League of Legends since late 2010. It is one of my favorite games ever. When the game works, its so much fun, whether I win or lose. As long as it is a hard fought match, I enjoy myself, celebrate wins, and learn from losses and mistakes.

That said, the past month it seems at least half of my games (feels like 90% but that is probably an exaggeration) have an AFK or a hard Troll in it. Whether it is on my team or on the enemy team, it just isn't fun. I don't want to play and I don't feel like I can celebrate or learn from it.

The only solution I can think of is to only play ranked team games. I am a part of a couple, but that is like 3 games a week, which leaves me with not much practice to improve in between team games.

Is anyone else having this issue? I'm really thinking about quitting. It just isn't fun anymore, and RIOT just hasn't seemed to figure out a way to fix the issue...
