Just noticed this on the website of my local SPCA shelter:

You saw right, this tuxedo cat just came in last week and his name is Ahri. The name suggests that he was probably owned (or neglected, rather) previously by an addicted LOL player too "busy" to take care of him, and it shows in the eyes.

Please, fellow pet-owning players, take time away from the game and spend some of that with your pet(s). It trusts you and loves you unconditionally, give some of that back. And like every pet, there comes a time for them to go, and on that day you don't want to regret neglecting them because of a video game.

If any fellow players in or around Toronto has room in their heart for a new furry friend, please, pay him a little visit and see if he's right for you. Not me at the moment, I already have two turtles to tend to and I know my limits.

How is it possible to neglect a cat?

You don't bathe them, you don't walk them, and they usually don't like attention. Literally all you have to do is keep the litterbox clean, the food bowl stocked, and occasional veterinarian visits. It's likely that there is something else going on.

And for the record, Ahri is a fox therefore a canine. Whoever named this cat isn't too smart.
