Error: The League Community is the worst

I normally do not post on the forums for League but today I wanted to make an exception. This is not a bug or a gameplay error, however it is just as detrimental to my League of Legends experience. I have played League of legends since the end of Season 1 and have invested about 1700 hours into the game and spent around 300-400 dollars. (I know I will be judged for that last part but hey, it happened, I like skins.) Anyhow, I have loved this game for a long time and have played with friends and my girlfriend for countless hours. Nothing really beats playing a game with a group of 5 and all being in a Skype call and just having fun. However, what really has ruined the game for me is the community. About half-way into Season 2 I got to level 30 and decided it was time to try ranked. I wasn't very good back then so I was put in bronze and it was just a fun experience to try to climb the rankings. The end of last season I got to my goal: Gold 5, and have really progressed. However, one thing has definitely changed over the years and that is the community. I just want to note that in Normals this may be a less of an issue, but it still exists. An example to show this, not that you need one I'm sure, is that me and my girlfriend were playing Duo-queue today, something we very much enjoy to do. We are both in silver currently because we had a rough set of provisionals with you can guess, toxic teammates. However back to the story, we were in a game today and she wanted to go Sona mid. Although this may be a bold move in today's meta, it can definitely work. However, we had a platinum Tryndamere who did not agree with her decision and decided to not go a support and just go Tryndamere. I went Fizz top and he went bottom lane. The beginning of the game was not that bad, however I knew that he was probably going to be a bad teammate at this point. He also stated in the beginning, "I notice that you were all golds and I am platinum so..." Which isn't the best way to start a game... but I let it slide. Later in the game when a Yi camped mid lane and Sona did a good job at escaping the ganks and played well, Tryndamere harassed her calling her useless and "A worthless piece of shit." He then continued to harass her saying that all girls are useless in League of Legends and that I can take me and my girlfriend and go elsewhere and not play ranked. Our Jinx on our team agreed with the Tryndamere and I just was appalled that people like this really existed, but anything is possible with this community. This is just one example of many in my years of playing, and I'm sure that everyone has had that one toxic teammate that rage quits or refuses to communicate. I have played Smite and CS:GO for about a year to two years now and I have not encountered nearly as much of this kind of behavior. (I know that they have a smaller gaming community, but still as a proportion and as a whole, they are much better generally.) I just don't understand how everyone in League can get so angry, give up so easily, and just make it a generally bad experience for everyone on their team. I know this is just a small voice in the millions that play, but I just wanted to say that League really needs to improve this somehow some way, or I'm out. I love League of Legends and always will, just not the people that play it. Thank you. -A concerned gamer.
