Champion screen customization

Hey everyone, I have a question. Have you ever been perplexed at picking a champion that you really just cant seem to find in the selection screen? I am fairly new to the community and I am still learning new things every day but unless I have missed it is there or could it be something for future patches to be able to customize champion selection screen? Something to the affect of catagories or even frequency of play? When the "freebies" are rotated they can jumble up the character selection screen and I would like to even have the ability to NOT have the freebies show up sometimes based on who they are and do they fit my play style. Anyone feel free to chime in. Updated* I had a brainstorm after staring at the champion tab for 20 - 30 mins. What about a box that can be checked for availability during the champion selection screen? This way you could pick say 10 at a time to fill different roles that you have completed rune pages for and finished tweeking your masteries for? I would think that something as simple as that could be held server side. They already track who we own I think it would be possible for them to track who we want to use, because I am sure I am not alone in the fact that I have unlocked a champion only to find that is is either a PIA to play or just really almost never makes a good fit for a team.

All you have to do to find your champ during select is type the name in at the top right of the window. As far as free-to-play champs "jumbling" up the screen, its alphabetical order so it can't muck things up too bad.

I do like the idea of organizing frequency of play, but only for your top ten played, or else it becomes pointless.

By the time you've been level 30 for a couple of months, you'll own 8 out of 10 of the FtP champs anyways.

I dont have this issue since I own all champs, but I would like the category filter we have on the summoner page. It would be nice to be able to only have it show certain champs (support, marksmen, etc) so I can easily spout of champs I can trade, or if I am taking a role I can easily look at my viable options in traditional senses.

i've been playing this for a while. but what i do is i type in the champ name to find my champ a good half the time. but i wouldn't be avert to being able to reorganize the champs by favorite/preferred or something to that effect. or even just organized like you can on the summoner page.

but that could be a big client patch.

I agree. It would be nice to see and sort just the owned champions by type. This would help all players with selection and cut down on time spent looking for the champion you want amongst the week's freebies. Maybe put the freebies at the end, a seperate tab from owned, or sortable with champion type.

I like all of the ideas I see coming out already. The filter and the top 10 frequently played format are the most interesting. Typing the name in the box... I can see that if your on a pre-made but if you do solo's with PUG's sometimes its a race to secure your champ that you excell at. Then as the game goes you wonder to yourself " would I have been a better Yi?" This is the type of constructive discussion RIOT likes to see. Lets keep this going and just maybe it will bring enough interest for RIOT to give us some way of "sorting" our champs. Good job everyone.
