blaming the supports

The support is more blamed than any other roles especially when you are bard and your ult disables your ally's ult. But nobody remembers that bard's ult has a 2.5 sec before being effective so it is just a badluck when it disables other ally's ult. Every game needs a support.

I have traditionally been a support main, but I've mostly stopped playing support now, because it's just such a sh*tty role. There should really be some compensation for support players. Extra IP, special icons you can only unlock with support achievements, extra gold in-game, something. Because right now, you basically have to be a sociopath or a masochist to endure the constant abuse of playing this utterly thankless position.

Every time you're waiting in one of those seemingly endless queues that have become so commonplace with Dynamic, it's always a support you're waiting on, and you're waiting for a damn good reason: being a support in League genuinely sucks.

I am a support main and actually have had my best games as ...A VELKOZ support. I primarily use the skillshot mages (Bard/Velkoz/Zilean/Soraka, etc). But I find myself less interest in playing a support role. I actually know how to use most mages and such in a support role. But the problem Is that I am just sick of being thrown under the bus. If adc runs in with 5% health or less to a full health 2v1 after I ping I am OOM. If they die, they will suddenly scream "Omg this useless support, so f*king trash" Yeah...its my fault the adc ran in kamekazi. Had adcs tell me how trash I am because I dont do damage....AS SORAKA. Or tell me I dont know how to support because I ONLY HAVE ONE KILL (as a 1/6/19 Thresh) As Far as I am concerned the way to open up more support options are simple. I see support as not limited to a particular type of champ, but based on the abilities they use.

A Support is any champ that helps the adc secure kills in one of 2 ways. A) To provide Buffs, Heals, strengths and backup to ADC B) To help Leash Kills to the adc by Providing CC/Damage leash/hinderance, vision, or general annoyance to the enemy champion. In my case I use Velkoz and here is how: Q: Works as both a damage dealer and a slow (Crowd control). W: Can be used to Help with wave clear as well as Sheperding the enemy to go where you want), E: can be used to interrupt channels, ults, or movement or more importantly, make it harder for them to run away when you get them down to last hit. and R: Can be used as a damage dealer, a finisher, or a Leash (if Leashing just make sure you cancel/move the ult BEFORE they are dead)

But anyways, AS I said, as soon as the match goes south, as soon as the team begins losing, its easy to just throw the support to the wolves and say "Well I am pro, its all this useless scrub support's fault" Thats why I Have NO PROBLEMS AT ALL dropping a disrespectful adc like a toxic coal. If you think you are Sooooo good that you dont need support (as demonstrated by you throwing your support under the bus) then you cannot turn around and call to report them when they decide to STOP SUPPORTING YOU. I am Not YOUR support, I am the TEAM's support. And When I am Supporting you, I am a lane PARTNER. I am NOT your lane slave! NOT YOUR VERBAL DOORMAT. And certainly not your own personal "get out of responsibility free" card that you can just throw to the enemy just to take any responsibility off yourself.

So Yeah, I have less and less interest in playing support, tired of being the team's scapegoat. I work hard to get them kills and leash the enemy down so you can come in for the kill, to keep the enemy off the team's back, to provide vision of the map. But ALL of those contributions are invalid as soon as the match starts going downhill, just throw the support to the wolves and absolve yourself of any responsibility as far as contributing to the loss.

So I am trying to fill other roles, after 3 seasons of being a support main, I am broken...My desire to support...almost non-existant. and if I do support, I am quite happy throw my adc off my back and say "You want to throw your support under the bus, you must be strong enough to AD-CARRY YOUR OWN ASS!" And I will tell my ADC exactly that.

TL:DR = Dont throw your support to the wolves then complain and cry when you dont have one anymore.
