I Witnessed Something So Beautiful

In Ranked where teams vie desperately for LP and professional courtesy is a non-affordable luxy, I just came from a rare, beautiful Ranked game.

We had a QQ Sejuani in champ select, crying about losing and losing his duo over some previous ranked-related incident. He was arguing with us, and blaming our Top for no reason, and our Top was busy defending himself from unfound allegations.

In their fiery exchange, Sejuani (jg) forgot to take Smite. In-game at 0:00 our mid laner got mad at Sej, and Tahm (Top) refused to leash him because we all assumed he was trolling.

Angry, Sejuani went top and fed the enemy's Top (Heim) intentionally. He did this repeatedly 2-3x, threatening not to stop until Tahm apologized or admitted he didn't leash him.

Now, what would you do in these situations if you were the enemy team? Laugh? Try to fuel the fires? Gloat at your assured victory? Yes. I would've too. In Ranked, you get what you can get -- and a free win is rare -- so you do all you can to assure it.

BUT THAT'S NOT WHAT OUR ENEMY TEAM DID. Sejuani was crying so much in allchat that the enemy team pleaded for him to stop feeding and calm down. Heim and Jax of the enemy team offered TO LEASH SEJUANI!!! They told him to come to gromp.

When I read that in chat, I was amazed, and it stilled me. I couldn't believe they'd leash the enemy team's jg.... but sure enough, I watched as heim leashed Sej @ gromp... and then wolves. I stopped watching after that cuz I wanted to catch up on cs, but I believe Jax helped leash him as well.

During the leashing, sej was low hp and so was heim. Syndra begged sej and me to kill heim, but we didn't.... and heim nor jax didn't kill sej.... it was a beautiful sight.

I wish League was like this each day. Truly newsworthy. Wish I had recorded this game or someone did. It shows that despite all the inhumanity in League, there are still human heart moments.

Fyi, the enmy team won, but I couldn't be happier for them -- I lose a lot of games, but this is the only one I felt the enemy team deserved the win, regardless of their skill.

LET'S FOLLOW THEIR EXAMPLE!

I'll keep this example in mind for all of my normal matches from here on out, but Ranked is a cruel place. Weakness must be culled from the herd.

If someone disconnects in my lane, I'll try and give them the courtesy of not being killed until they are caught up. Unfortunately most enemies will just get their jungler to gank me despite the courtesy, but whatever.

No joke! Match History shows convincing evidence. I'm not sure why you told the story as if you weren't Tahm though. I mean I guess I could see how you may think it sounds petty of you not to leash for Sej, but you explained your reasoning. It is kinda funny to see Sej's death history with 3 skulls in the exact same spot lol.

But you reported the Sej, right?

I get matches where I believe the enemy team deserves to win all the time, but not like this. It's pretty much my team flaming and shit talking each other the whole match that makes me believe we don't deserve to win at that point. In situations like that, winning doesn't really feel like winning, it feels like rewarding bad behavior. Happy you were able to find good examples of humanity out there.

but we didn't

Hup, you didn't kill the enemy. That's unsportsmanlike conduct and intentional feeding. Reported.

Lol, that's retarded. So gay af. You don't pass the ball to your opponents in basketball when he's QQing. Fucking cringeworthy.

one time a lissandra dced in my lane. she came back. i let her farm and everything. i dced later in the game. she killed me because she was few levels ahead and she bmed me in chat. yeah but i usually let people catch up if they are the enemy. i don't mind. meanwhile. usually i see people 3 man ganking a dced lane like a pack of wolves. its really dumb. they type in chat " oh am sorry am 5 levels ahead but i need 3 people tp take u down)>

You can find a recording. Just tell me what were you playing that game -- or no, here's the link to it. Find that game, record that shit and post it everywhere possible. http://www.replay.gg/search/na/Joey%20Montague You're welcome :3

If I was on the enemy team and they weren't a 5 man premade, I would have reported Jax and Heim for griefing by helping Sej. :^)

Honestly, i hate all sorts of fucking kids on either team and tell them to shut up. Fueling the fire is just you, admitting you can't win a fair matchup.
