I was thinking the other day as i look in the game downloads of the console i own, why is smite here. Why hasn't LOL beat them to the punch, now don't get me wrong i am a total LOL player but i had to download the game (smite) just to see how it is because lets face it its free. All i could think is wow League can do this i think right, and i think it would be amazing. Does anyone know of them thinking about this or have they ever stated any comment on this matter?

Smite works, But LoL would never work on console.

The reason Smite is on console is because it is in a different view and play format. Smite is in 1st person, behind the back view, and players move with WASD. This allows it to be played on a console controller. League is in a 3rd person top down view, and the person moves by clicking where they want to go. It's the same reason RTS games like Age of Empires will never be on a console: you need a mouse to play it effectively.

Smite control scheme works in console setting since there is a lot of aim required, it's like third person action game you would normally get on a console with MOBA elements, league requires too much precision to be played with only a controller. Granted, playing league with a controller is possible, it's no where close to optimal.

I see what you are all saying, that the first person view is alot of it. But i have seen some people (really just one guy) play LOL with a controller (xbox360). But why could we not just as simply connect our keyboards and mouse to the console, i don't know if you remember how final fantasy online was for when it came to console. And thank you all for taking the time and reading this and commenting.
