How do you carry a really bad ADC?

I had some really good plays, surprised myself even considering I rarely use morgana. My adc was 2/1/2 by 14:30 and I was 1/0/3 but he only had 45cs! I kept telling him to last hit minions and he just didn't know how to farm at all. Their adc had more than twice as much farm even though they had 2 deaths...Of course, eventually he fell off due to lack of farm, our yasuo mid was 0/7 against an akali so the match was pretty much over.

I mean, how do you carry someone like this? He made bad play after bad play and I had to keep recovering for him, I set up lots of kills which I walked away from to make sure he could get. I did extremely well, I don't know how I could have done much better...This is why I don't think I'm cut out for support.

You're probably okay

Friendly communication is your best tool imo, otherwise I would look for a duo adc, or maybe add that person and train them to your standard?

nami, nami can carry even the worst of teams late game.

If they are truly bad adc you can't do anything. Take it from a support main. You can set them up with the best score out of lane, but if they can't do anything with there isn't much you can do. I see a lot of adc and it pains me to see some of the stupid plays they make because they are the adc and thinking they are some god.

support can be a very frustrating situation, and sometimes there is just no helping the adc. if it gets that bad its best just to cut your losses, and group up as a team and try and support the whole team instead of just one person.

Using him as a bait to build awesome killing chances? (you can ks too, I'd rather have a good fed Leona rather than a bad fed Vayne)

Sadly, you cant do much to help with your ADC farming badly.

But what you can do is give them as easy of a time farming as possible.

Pick lane bullies like Nami, Annie, or Zyra who can zone the enemy botlane away and give your carry plenty of room to farm. These champions, if fed, can buy a bit of AP and transition into carries themselves in the mid and late game, so even if your adc isn't doing so hot you can pick up a bit of their slack.

If these champs dont suit your fancy, try a roaming support like Ali, Leo, or Thresh. Grab some kills midlane and push for an early dragon. Ward up the enemy jungle and help your own jungler coordinate an invade. Find other ways to be useful on the map, since we've already established that your ADC is going to be useless all game no matter what you do.

In the mid and late game, encourage your team to ward, and peel for your strongest carry. If your ADC managed to get a few kills and is worth protecting, stick near them and do your best to keep them alive. If not, Try peeling for your AP carry instead.

Stay focused on objectives and only fight when you have a clear objective in sight. Dont just group mid for no reason. (why people insist on grouping up in midlane when we already have an inhibitor down, and we have little chance of actually ending is beyond me)

And above all, stay positive, dont rage, dont blame your ADC if they make a mistake, since they will likely rage or intentionally feed if you do, stay focused, and do your best to win!

Go 20-5-10 as mid.
