My Bronze Story, and a Fix?

So lets get this out of the way. It is gonna be very TL/DR overall, but i am posting this calm minded, and overall in a good mood. lil sleepy. I am by no means an amazing player. But i consistently do well overall. My overall average this season is 5/6/11.3 as a support main overall, i have done other roles at times. I have won 278 games, and lost 296. I have friends all over the ranked system, and found there really wasnt much of a skill difference in gold and above, it was mostly communication skills in solo/duo. Then Riot put restrictions on the ranked level difference between who can join with you. At one point recently i was subject to a chat restriction for verbal abuse. Which i will admit was partly my fault, since i was getting fed up with people intentionally doing stupid things. But most people i encounter say a lot worse

The Fix i wish i had an option for during this season was some kind of accelerated LP gain after a series of losses, heres why

I was placed bronze 5, 6 win-4 loss placements. Ok then, i can live with that. In less then a week I was in bronze 1. Win 2 lose 1 overall, not too many people intentionally trolling early on. Then I hit that block, I was at like 60 lp, and got nothing but hell to deal with. I very specifically remember the first game being 4 people afk on my team and it wasnt loss prevented. They connected but didnt do more then buy items. From there it was all down hill.

**Between season start I have been all over the board (Numbers indicate where i stopped for a period of time longer then 4 games.) 5>1>3>5>4>5>4>3>2>4>5>4>3 And have been in a series 47 times. Often losing due to bad choices. And being a support main most times means I am at the whim of the team. And honestly I wish that after 3 or 4 losses in a row, you had a recovery boost to get you going again. Instead when i finally do get a win, i get 15-20 lp, when a loss seems to always average around 20lp. Oh you went 13/1/8 as draven? 17lp. Oh you lost because your jungler DC'ed 3 minutes in, and your team couldnt compensate in time -22lp. Meanwhile i cant find an accurate equation anywhere to make sense of this.

Then there is bronze hell in general**

Top is intentionally feeding? Well obviously I am gonna try harder to get the adc fed and play more aggressively. But the enemy jungler knows he doesnt need to go top and instead puts his pressure bot and mid. My jungle? Well he tries desperately to save top/shutdown the enemy top, all but ignoring the rest of the teams pings. Thats the kind of bad choices i speak of, things like that.

Godyr was probably the biggest thing that ruined a good streak I was on. I literally ban Udyr no matter what because of this. The idea of literally ignoring all the lanes and hyper farming works wonders if your in 5's. Your team is ready for this, you communicate with your friends, etc. But in Solo/Duo it ends up with one lane getting an early shut out(mistakes made, well setup gank, jungle pressure period), needing help to get back on their feet and pinging for help that never comes. Then you see "XXXXX: I am building godyr, i dont gank till i have flare" or something similar.

Oh how I wish there was a game delay on taking new champions to ranked. Whether its a new release or new to the person. Hell a 5 matchmaking game restriction even. Play 5 games with a champ in normals before being able to select them in ranked. Nothing makes me wish i dodged more then seeing a newly released champ autopicked in ranked. Azir was especially painful, because at that time i was seeing a lot of zed mid, and a fed zed makes you dead.

Being pregame and seeing "I am gonna feed" or "Screw you guys i wanted ___, nowi am gonna troll". Oh how i wish there was a more viable way to deal with this. Like in solo/duo being able to vote for a dodge, with some restrictions mind you. 3lp isnt the biggest loss, but in my case half the time i was in a series when i saw this.

I get no systems perfect, but sometimes you need to wonder why bother with a system at all if its punishing people who legitimately want to win.
