Well, you have the chance of getting a Skin Shard, Champion Shard, or a Ward Skin Shard from the free chest. It seems like the free chest has only been released in NA as of now, but will be released elsewhere very soon :D

You get a free chest when it goes live, chest includes 1 Ward Shard, 1 Skin Shard, and 800 essence, which is enough to unlock one of the items permanently

P.S. I got MD Kennen and Soccer Ward, both of which are useless to me since I own 2 kennen skins and don't care for soccer.

Well in NA we call it... actually I don't care, I'd usually call it Football but the item was named Soccer Ward, so I typed that.

I got a Mordekaiser skin and the Dragon Gong ward. I don't like Morde whatsoever so I don't even remember what skin I got. I know I'll be trading it in as soon as I'm able, same with the ward skin.

Hextech is a cool concept and all, but it doesn't seem enjoyable to someone like me (who doesn't enjoy gambling. ) I'll be saving my RP to actually buy what I want guaranteed... plus I was hoping they'd be purchaseable with IP, even if they were incredibly expensive (I'm only 9k IP off from owning every champ, and after that I'll have nothing else to spend it on).
