Hello summoners . I am from Denmark and I'm writing a project about Esports and Esports culture. I play league all the time, so I'm focusing on league and how the cultures are in NA (english class you know), but also league culture in general. How is Esports different from regular sports? How is it similar? What are the differences in between low-rank local esporters (like me) and the pros who live by league? How is NA league culture different from Korean culture? Those are just some of my thoughts, but I really just wanna hear what you guys think :) Hope you can help me! .Tyty. Legends takes all.

NA (when it comes to esports) is very similar to the views on soccer. It isn't hugely popular, so it isn't taken seriously except by a small fraction of the population. This is slowing changing as the younger generations get more influence since they have been exposed to a wider variety of competitive play growing up thanks to the internet and seeing other cultural favorites.

I can't speak for him, but, I think it's mainly because higher ELO players realize that if you flame someone, they're likely to go on tilt, which means a higher chance of losing the game whereas a majority of low ELO players don't think like that.

Likewise, I think a lot of high elo players have a perfectionist attitude (if they lose, it's their fault) while a majority of low elo players believe it's their teams fault.

just my 2 cents
