Rank Decay Emergency

Hey community, Riot, and anyone that could possibly give me any information on this event, I would just like to seek help and answers about what just happened to my account. As everyone that keeps up with league like myself, we all know the Season is ending today (or tomorrow). I have worked extremely hard to achieve Platinum this year, and I have managed to hold myself in Plat ever since I have achieved it. However, I logged on today and received a notification that I have been demoted to Gold 1 from Platinum V 16lp. Now I know about decay, I have played this game for about 3 years, however I know for a fact I did not get any notification about my decay or inactivity. I play everyday, checking my stats and profile making sure I even have extra 16lp in my Platinum V rank so something like this WOULDN'T happen. To demote me to gold with no time in the season left (couple of hours) seems astonishing. Is there anyways Riot can push me back up to Platinum V since I never got a warning or notification that this was going to happen. Of course if I had received the warning (that I have gotten before in the past) it's my fault, but ever since I secured my last win; I never got any warning about decay. So please, is there anything Riot can do to put me back up on the last day of the Season that I got Demoted with no warning.
