cannot not start league of legends launcher

it goes to this then stops I don't understand what is wrong. Ill start at the beginning from earlier this week just to make sure all the info is there.

I did a system restore monday. After the system restore i redownloaded the patch from A WEEK ago. Not the patch from yesterday. the game worked fine. Tuesday i left and spent some time at a friends house downloaded LOL there and played all day yesterday when the game was up. this morning i get home and league of legends launcher will not come up i tried a system restore to the point i created after redownloading the patch from a week ago and the same thing happened it will not startup. I tried several other restore points and the same thing happens over and over. Can anyone help me I am in my second week of playing here and I frankly have no clue what is going on. A system restore should fix any errors. Is the game down again??? the site says its online x.x Redownloading the game is not a viable option for me as it can take several days....
