Hextech Champion Essence and Shards Question

As a League player who owns every champion in the game I wanted to know if there has been an update about transferring Champion essence or shards into Cosmetic essence? I have almost 10k blue essence and maybe 50 champion shards just lying there doing nothing for me. Id really like to be able to unlock more skins.
