What happened to Riot

Holy shit guys, Riot has actually been implementing massive champions reworks in a good timeframe, writing lore, and generally interacting with the community lately. Basically what I am getting at is, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED to the inattentive, slowpoke, generally uncreative Riot we have all come to hate so much? If they keep it up at this rate we might all have to find some other game company to villainize, mock, and generally talk shit to. GG Riot, GG.
