Are there plans for LOL to develop a Linux platform in the future?

I am considering buying a steam Machine in October, and use Linux everyday. Actually I only use windows on my dual boot computer for playing League of Legends. I have tried, and know, you can use Wine with Linux and install League on a virtual windows machine inside Linux. However using the wine emulator the League store is buggy at best and there is some serious lag issues. DOTA 2 and many other games have already migrated to having a Linux platform on the Valve OS (Linux). Are there plans for LOL to develop a Linux platform in the future? I certainly hope so.

Given the barely existent mac support, I highly doubt it.

Its a windows world, were just livin in it.

I personally would love to see more effort put into cross platform support rather than new champions/features. After all, windows costs money, and for linux users, it's kind of ridiculous just to buy a software key and go through the painfully horrible dual boot process just to play a free to play a free-to-play game. I personally think that the game seems pretty balanced right now, so less energy can go into adding new champions (lets face it, Taliyah was a total failure) and more energy can go into adding new players.
