Pinging? New Negative Behavior?

Hello All,

Lately I have seen an decrease in verbal abuse between teammates and I wanted to thank Riot for a good job so far. The reason for this post is to bring attention to a new way I've seen negative players showing their toxicity that isn't really considered "verbal abuse" or "intentional feeding". What I've seen more recently is people who instead ping on each repeatedly without stop causing the minimap to become basically unreadable until their argument is done (I've seen this ping battles last about 10 minutes long). This clearly has a negative impact (think false pings and unreadable minimap). I was wondering if there is a system in place or something I can report them for to combat this new way of being toxic within games.

Thank you for your time,

KJ

I've seen this too, 50 pings in a row because someone died and they're mad about it really gives me a headache-makes it hard to think with all that PING-PING-PING-PING-PING-PING ringing in my ears.

Not really new, it was a big thing back before smart pings were implemented. It did kind of die down a little bit since then, but there are always dudes that love to spam pings. Can always just report them for spamming, no guarantee that it will pass tribunal though.

What you describe is impossible as pings get shut off on spam. It might be, heaven forfend, not toxic behavior but your whole team telling you to do something you aren't paying attention to. You might want to think about that before crying toxic.
