I'm not playing anymore ranked, and neither should you!

Hello folks, this season for the first time in all my years playing league I decided to commit to playing ranked. I set a meager goal of reaching silver. Not anything special I know, but i figured if I set the bar low and figured out what skill i need to progress little by little i would be better off in the long run. As it happens, just before riots anouncement that the season is coming to a close, I hit my goal. I was rather proud, and immensely relieved that I did so before the countdown to the end of the season.

For I knew with the release of the rank rewards, victorius skins and banners would come a tsunami of skilless players, tryhards and unranked players who would were all scrambling desprately to reach gold. And they would be saltier, judgier and trollier then ever before. For they fear they wouldn't attain that victory skin or pretty banner that they didn't care for or knew existed before the anouncement.

Climbing the ranks is already an uphill struggle, but trying to climb the ranks at the end of the season is a uphill struggle in the pouring rain. Its as bad as it can get right now and its very possible you can end up falling further then you climbed. To test my theory I played two games thag went precisy how I expected. 2 afks in one a troll and tryhard thresh in the other. For fear of being knocked out of silver, I dare not play another. So relax, wind down, learn a new champ, break the meta and wait eagerly for all those crazy ass changes that happen in the pre season!

Tl;dr End of the ranked season is not the time to be climbing. Save yourself the misery and don't do it.
