Taxing is not the end of the world.
If I gank for you and get you a kill or an assist, it's not that big of a deal if i take a couple of minions and some exp. Kinda tired of laners flaming at me for taxing :/

i find a reasonable amount of tax is 2-3. and you best be trying to push the wave to the enemy turret. i like taking 2-3 from my laner and try and let them take the rest.
afterall, it is their lane. lol.
Frankly I only tax if my ally gets the kill(s). Then we'd best push that lane out. I can't believe people actually flame for that after that big gold reward.
There's a streamer "Dekar" who's a challenger level player and though mains top I saw a couple games where he played his rengar jungle.
When he would gank top and get his laner a kill he would help push the lane by damaging the minions but only low enough that the laner could get the last hit. This is how you should really play jungle IMO.
Honestly if you're going to tax take the caster minions. Don't touch cannons. I tilt hard as fuck when my jungle ganks we get a kill and he takes the entire last wave aswe push into turret and I have to back 150g short of a BF sword or needlessly large rod. I tilt real hard

If I get the kill during a gank I don't tax the laner, the gold from the kill is enough for a gank assuming the person isn't massively behind and worth no gold, but you don't really need to gank them in that case anyway.
