Except...he's right. Que is Spanish for 'what', and Cue is the instrument used in Pool, but Queue is a line, a place of waiting. Literally no one in the history of linguistics has tried to claim that Que is an abbreviation of Queue

Except here we are, on a post where some guy is telling people to stop using it. If people are using "que" in this context enough to warrant a "hey stop doing that" post then surely you can't also say that nobody "in the history of linguistics" does it.
