Does anyone else find that they get auto-filled more than they get their primary or even secondary role? Using auto-fill to shorten queue times has to be the most mentally r%%%%%ed idea I've ever encountered. If I choose top and jg as my roles, I'm dodging queue the moment some bullshit algorithm puts me in support when the queue hasn't even reached 3 goddam minutes.
I am personally of the opinion that autofill in its current form is one of the worst things that have happened to this game.
Why should I have to play a role that I don't find fun? It's a game. Games are for fun. I have literally no fun playing support. It's horribly designed. You might have an impact on the game, but it certainly doesn't feel like it. And what do you do in lane? Sit there and do literally nothing for fifteen straight minutes, with the occasional chance to mash a few buttons and watch your ADC do all the damage thrown in. There are some people (like me) who would simply rather wait out the long queue times than be forced to play support.
I understand that there are people who are the other way around. That's fine. At least let me blacklist a role like you promised in the patch notes, rather than have me sit there with that stupid little exclamation mark in constant fear that I will be autofilled into support and have effectively no way to decide my role. I mean let's face it. EVERY TIME I see that, I know what's going to happen. In the unlikely event I don't get autofilled in the game to come, someone will dodge and I'll get autofilled anyway. Happens every time. EVERY TIME.
Riot, please either take this god-forsaken thing out of your game, or make it a little less...dumb.
just an idea and i already know im gonna get like 200 downvotes for it... but just think just for a second before you do downvote
what if we just logged in for a game... and all randomly got assigned roles and you just play the role you are assigned... there would be zero queue times and everyone has to deal with getting roles they dont want from time to time...
and if you play all roles then you improve over all as a better player of the game
