When i found out that riot was allowing people to get grey warwick and medieval twitch i was kinda offended that they didn't even give us the same treatment as championship riven. To get championship riven you simply had to buy the skin when it was available but they get extras added to their skin and loading screen. The grey and medieval skins were a reward from the refer-a-friend system. Sharing the game with your friends was what made league the game it is today and is infinitely more valuable . I doubt this small post will make any change but i would just like to express my opinion and maybe hear from a rioter.

I'm pretty sure the reason Championship Riven got special treatment was because Riot said that there was no way that Championship Riven was never returning except under extraordinary circumstances (such as getting a perfect Pick'Em) and then they went back on their word because the circumstances under which it was made Limited were sort of odd. For the two Refer-A-Friend Skins, Riot said that they "may return as rewards for another social system somewhere down the line", so they probably feel like an original border is not necessary because these Skins were never intended to be permanently Limited.

yup its pretty pathetic

instead of making new honor only skins, maybe called Honorable (champ name), they give obama handouts to these entitled kids who dont know how to earn things in life

Riot Kayle just for logging in Champ Riven, i didnt even own it, but i wasnt around to buy it the first time so i didnt cry about it. soon to be Black Alistar at this rate, maybe the Rammus beta skin

You can still actually get the original Riven championship skin through the championship predictions thing.

But honestly, they are the same thing, the ONLY difference is that you get a little year next to the skin name in the loading screen. If that little difference is enough to comfort players for "special recognition" then all I have to say is

I treat it the exact same, cause in the end, that penta-kill was on the coat-tail of the same bright blue wave.

i have to pretend be nice to players in this game now.

it's really easy i've found to be the most honored on the team by smurfing though like i went 20/2/x on twitch last game and got the most honored while telling my support he was an idiot

so there's that i guess, i could just git gud to zerg my way to medieval twitch

how do you get...ANY twitch skin right now? there's like 8 and you can't ever buy any of them

Actually they do have special borders for og skin users who got it through refer a friend.

They already gave original owners Legacy Borders, but only the original owners that got them during the first two Refer a Friend systems. Which was back when you had to do 50 (version 1)/25 (version 2) Friend invites for Warwick and 350 (Version 1)/ 50(version 2) for Twitch. Not the Third and final version where all you had to do was 3 (Warwick) and 5 (Twitch).
